Abstract

The development of technology in the marine field is currently progressing quite rapidly, this is important for several aspects of daily life. The Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture and Technology once held an annual competition program, the National Unmanned High Speed Boat (KKCTBN), which is a marine and maritime technology competition organized by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas).
Many students from various universities in Indonesia participated in the competition.
The competition was also attended by students of Universitas 17 Agustus 1945
Surabaya from the Mechanical Engineering Study Program. They designed an RC Boat Fuel Engine ship named Team "MIANTO UNTAG". In this final project, experimental tests were carried out on the KKCTBN MIANTO ship using a Zenoah G260P UM type fuel engine using variations in the diameter and number of propeller pitches of the ship whose data were obtained during the testing process. After conducting experimental testing with predetermined variations and obtained calculation data, it can be concluded that the type and size of the propeller greatly affects the performance of the ship where the ship's propulsion system will have an influence on the Engine Propeller Mating of a ship. Of the several propeller variations used, the propeller with the type of FPP (Fixed Pitch Propeller) •70 mm with the number of pitches produces the fastest ship motion system. The amount of CC on the engine applied in the RC Boat Fuel Engine also affects the speed of the distance traveled. This RC Boat uses a Zenoah G260PUM 26 CC engine.
